I have been looking forward for this trip to
mark the end of my academic semesters in NYP.
All i can say is that this trip was truly an
enriching experience and it was time worth
spent. It was inspiring to see the difference
of culture and the simple lifestyle they are
accustomed to. In vietnam, you can see how
mothers plying their trade while holding their
babies...Father's teaching their sons and
daughters to sell small items to tourists...
Its a harsh life..but how they have managed to
cope with reality all these while..have taught
some of us..never to take life for granted.
The opportunity to meet the students of
vietnam's uni of tech has also taught us
that no matter where u are, education is
important.

Finally, on behalf of all the participants,
Thanks to the NYP lecturers
(Mr Ong, Mr Khoo and Ms Lim) who made this
trip happen. It has been a pleasure working
with all of you.

Regards
Awin

No.3 Try traditional food of Vietnam I love food very much like i love my cat cat grin

Finally when 3rd March arrives, I cant wait to arrive at the airport
for the flight.Since its my first time and Ive prepared for the worst,
I stand by some ointments, plastic bags, sweets, chewing gum, plasters, panadols, etc because my friends told me their experience in airplane was quite a bad one.
Some says you will feel giddy when the plane take off, or others said you tend to be airsick and will vomit in the airplane and yadayada...haha
But so far i took the plane, nothing happen to me normal

3. Hello Singapore!

During the trip, there are some unexpected situation that I was unexpecting it to be
When the first day we reach Vietnam, wow the i first thing i want to complain was
the freaking hot weather!
I was dissapointed with my uncle because he told me the weather in Vietnam was slightly cloudier than singapore, but in the end, he cheated me! Photobucket (because i brought alot of windbreaker )
But i endured it all the way and drank lots of water :)
And the other thing was, The food! It was a dissapointment because most halal restaurant there serves indian food where it can be found in Singapore itself, except it serves differently.
I wanted to taste their traditional food but i was told that most Vietnamese food are non-halal
So I was quite dissatisfied. Photobucket

But then, all those rantings does not matter to me now.
After all, all it matters was those ♥Friends Ive made during the trip
The joy and the laughter with them are still fresh in my memory right now
I wish those unforgotten happy and funny moments won't last and all these
memories would be with me forever. very cheerful

The other thing was, i am very thankful for the opportunity given to me to go
around to see how others live at the other side of the world. Although the vietnamese
are paid small amount or live at the roadside, i could see they are happy with their lifestyle.
So now I've realised that money or wealth doesnt really provide Happiness to everyone. What matters to them most was the way they lived together as a family and provide family spirit to each other.

This Vietnam trip has been an eye-opening experience to me.
Seriously, the 4 days are not enough, i wish i could explore more :)
But this trip has made me to be thankful for all the things that have been given to me in this world that i know there are other people who are less fortunate than me.

XO
